AlphaPeeler is a powerful tool for learning Cryptography and is used as educational tool at the faculty of Computer Engineering, SSUET. Students can easily learn frequency analysis and ciphers like Monoalphabetic substitution, Caesar and Transposition. AlphaPeeler Professional 1.0b (powered by crypto++ 4.1) also includes DES, Gzip/Gunzip, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, RIPEMD-16, RSA key generation, RSA crypto, RSA signature & validation, and generation of secret share files. AlphaPeeler 1.0 was developed at Department of Computer Engineering, Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology - Karachi (Pakistan). You can contact AlphaPeeler development group (alphapeeler@bigfoot.com) , for you software development, security and ecommerce requirements. Copyright ? 1998-2006. New stuff, changes and buf fixes in AlphaPeeler Pro. 1.0 beta are: (1) Professional crypto algorithms are now added. (2) In classical crypto, user interface is enhanced and file selection and dir. selection common dialogs are added. (3) In Options Dialog (Freq. Analysis Decryption), User can now select frequency file (*.frq) to set the frequency. (4) While saving the alphabet frequencies in "statistics" dialog, an extra frequency file (*.frq) is now also saved. (5) In Caesar cipher encryption dialog, offset is now modulo 26 based, i.e., it keeps circulating no mater how many times user click right shift or left shift. (6) Useless OK and Cancel buttons in most of the dialogs are now gone for good. (7) Substitution encryption dialog now also save substitution key file (*.sub) and also user can select *.sub file to set the destination characters. (8) Technically there was a bug in previous versions of AlphaPeeler, i.e., Substitution decryption algorithm was same as substitution encryption. Now decryption is enhanced by enabling user to select substitution key file (*.sub) and source alphabets are set accordingly. (9) In Substitution Decryption, character swapping was not implemented. Fixed now.
