My friend (lets call him Robert) had a sad story to tell: It seems that he has an employer that changed the rules half way into his tenure on the job. After having been forced to sign an agreement that Bob would not have done when he had several competitive job offers pending, he exclaimed: "It s not fair, I ve worked on my time for them, but they will no longer let me work on their time, for me!"
So I wrote File Spy: File Spy allows you to scour your disks and change file time stamps. For example, if you work from 8 AM to 5 PM, you can program File Spy to change the date and time of any files that it encounters to 6 PM - 11 PM. -Avoid future problems by migrating your legacy files to match your corporate policy! (Note: We do not advocate the use of File Spy to allow you to violate your corporate agreement, only to migrate your files to match changes in corporate policies.)
File Spy also allows you to manage files it encounters along the way by type (or suffix), as well as time: Using the search facility, you can locate, review, and automatically delete files en masse.
After locating your data, File Spy can allow you to click and "touch" (change the time) or delete any file located. -File Spy will even automatically generate a batch-file (script) to help you better manage your results using another program! By using our script creation facility, you can optionally save the result of your search, or create command-line operations to copy, move, rename, archive, delete, or "recycle" your files. You can even write your own batch files, scripts, and programs to interface with File Spy results, just as if you had typed in each command from the keyboard.
Of course, if you allow someone ELSE to use your computer, File Spy is also a great way to monitor what files have changed (if any), downloaded from the Internet, or created.
